Tindle Out of 16-Car Field in Atlanta
May 18, 2010 by Tindle Racing Media (May 17, 2010) COMMERCE, GA -- Tim Tindle joined other illustrious Promod names, such as Roger Burgess, Rickie Smith, Joe Baker, Tony Pontieri, Castellana, and Knowles as non-qualifiers for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals. In a field of 23 cars vying for 16 spots, it was tough on everyone today as cars were bumped in and out as the final session wore down. Brad Personett, Tindle’s attempts resulted in his best pass being a 6.055-second elapsed time at 232.31 mph. This was not the best performance for the team this season, as they struggled, missing one round of qualifying. “It doesn’t sting any less,” said Tindle, who DNQ’d for the first time this season. “I guess I never thought that we’d be one of the ones that didn’t qualify.” “We are going to keep our head up and keep rolling alone.
