TJ Tindle used his Outlaw 330 Jr.Dragster to raise cancer awareness for Misty Williams, a married mother of three currently battling stage 4 rectal cancer. Tindle ran a career best 4.19, qualified well, and marched to the semi-finals on both days of the 2nd Annual New Years Nationals at Emerald Coast Dragway, Holt, FL.   His Jim Spier tuned Half-Scale Outlaw 330 dragster displayed a “Fight for Misty” design donated by Rod Burke of Burke Designs.

“We wanted to run this race for Misty,” T.J. said.  “There were several people that visited her site (FightForMisty.com) after the race. Our goal was to get the word out about the website, fundraisers and help raise money.”

The Outlaw 330 race, put on by Emerald Coast Dragway and Tindle Racing, was held to give the kids that were aging out of the class, a last chance to compete in the Outlaw 330 Jr. Dragster Class.

Matt Gillen, Gainesville, GA went on to win the race after defeating Corey Cox in the finals.  T.J. Tindle was ousted in the semi-finals after loosing to Cox.

"Our performance overall was great and I think it still has a little more in it.  I let my team down at the tree, but I will be ready for the season.  We’re going to run the Outlaw 330 series this year and maybe even run a few bracket races.”

Misty Williams is a 32 year-old, married mother of three currently battling stage 4 rectal cancer. Originally diagnosed at stage 3, she has already undergone 6 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation, and has had 3 surgeries in an attempt to remove the cancerous tumor.
