Strong season finish for Tindle; 2 National Event Wins
Nov 06, 2009 by Tindle Racing Media SANTA ROSA BEACH, FL – Get Screened America Promod Challenge racer Tim Tindle wrapped up a strong 2009 Season this past weekend at the Las Vegas NHRA Nationals, finishing 9th in the points standing, presented by Pro Care Rx. This is the fourth straight season that the Tindle Racing team has finished in the top ten in NHRA Promod Racing. This season, Tindle won the NHRA Summer Nationals in Topeka and the IHRA Spring Nationals at Rockingham Dragway during his IHRA Debut. “We are definitely fortunate for the two National Event wins this season,” Tindle said. “Next year will be better season. We struggled during several races while fighting an electrical bug that gave us headaches and disappoints. But, when the tough times came, we kept our head up and thought about the good times and victories that we have accomplished. It reminded us that we could do it.” “I can’t ask for a better team. Quain Stott, Skippy and Marcus work hard to make this hotrod competitive and it shows on race day. On Sunday, I had the “baddest” hotrod on race day and I let my team down by red lighting.” “Next year is a new year and this will be a busy off season for Tindle Racing. We have several updates and changes to make to both GT500 Mustangs. The competition is getting tougher but we will be ready to take it on.” “I want to thank Roger Burgess, NHRA, and those who have given their all to keep this Promod series alive. We are excited about NHRA Get Screened America Promod Racing next year and are fortunate for everything that it offers in 2010.” On Saturday, Tindle lost during the first round of the Matco Tools Promod Clash to Mike Castellana and was disqualified on Sunday after a red light start against Jay Payne in the first round of the Get Screened America Promod Challenge, presented by ProCare RX. Tindle will compete in the 2nd Annual Emerald Coast Dragway Heads Up Outlaw Nationals this weekend. Qualifying begins on Friday night with eliminations at 3:00 PM on Saturday. |
