(May 17, 2010) COMMERCE, GA -- Tim Tindle joined other illustrious Promod names, such as Roger Burgess, Rickie Smith, Joe Baker, Tony Pontieri, Castellana, and Knowles as non-qualifiers for the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals.

In a field of 23 cars vying for 16 spots, it was tough on everyone today as cars were bumped in and out as the final session wore down.  Brad Personett, Elkhart IN, squeaked in the No. 16 spot, running one-thousandths (.001) faster than Tindle’s Ford GT500 Mustang.

Tindle’s attempts resulted in his best pass being a 6.055-second elapsed time at 232.31 mph.  This was not the best performance for the team this season, as they struggled, missing one round of qualifying.

“It doesn’t sting any less,” said Tindle, who DNQ’d for the first time this season.  “I guess I never thought that we’d be one of the ones that didn’t qualify.”

“We are going to keep our head up and keep rolling alone. I have a feeling this season will turn-around soon.”

Next up for Tindle is the 41st Annual United Association NHRA SuperNationals at Englishtown, NJ, June 10-13.

Tindle thanks Ed Murdock Ford for providing the Tindle Racing team with a support vehicle during the NHRA Southern Nationals.  Murdock takes pride in providing North Georgia and South Carolina with the largest selection of Ford, Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler vehicles.
