NHRA Get Screened America Promod driver Tim Tindle is seeking his first victory of the season at this weekend’s 23rd annual O'Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals at Houston Raceway Park, the second of 10 races on the 2010 schedule.
“Houston is a great track,” said Tindle, who won two national events in 2009. “This is our fourth time heading to Houston and I am hoping to kill two birds in one stone; win our first season national event and claim the first Houston victory.”
Tim Tindle and family head into the event with a heavy heart, after loosing their friend Misty Williams on Monday. The team will be racing in memory of her life this weekend; rest in peace Misty.
“It is definitely not easy racing this weekend with our hearts heavy, but we have to just hold our heads up high and deliver the best,” Tindle said. We are looking for that first win of the season and I believe it will happen this weekend. Quain Stott is a great tuner and we have a consistent car to get the job done.”
“We lost first round in Gainesville, but it’s early in the season and one good race could put you back in the heat of the points chase. This is definitely going to be an interesting season.”
“The goal this weekend is to make three strong qualifying rounds and win rounds on Saturday and Sunday. Yes, winning Sunday is our priority, but we need to first focus on winning one round at a time.”
