MARCH 14, 2010 (GAINESVILLE, FL) – Tim Tindle made an early exit in the NHRA Get Screened America Promod Challenge on Saturday after bowing down to Swedish racer Michael Gullqvist during the first round of eliminations at the Tire Kingdome NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL. Tindle was forced to abort the run with a 6.03 at only 207 mph, loosing to Gullqvist’s 5.85, 284 mph.

Tindle qualified in the No.8 position on Saturday, delivering a 5.95, 239 mph.

“The Gatornationals always makes for a great time,” Tindle said.  “We didn’t perform as well as expected, but the season is still young. Like several other teams, we are still working to find that right tune-up.  And yes, it’s frustrating at times, but we’ll keep going after it until we figure it out.”

ESPN2 and ESPN2HD will feature highlights of the Promod Series at the NHRA Tire Kingdom NHRA Gatornationals on Sunday, March 21 at 11 a.m. (E.T.).

Next up for Tindle is the 23rd annual O’Reilly NHRA Spring Nationals on April 9-11 at Houston Raceway Park in Baytown, Texas.
