After two sessions of
qualifying in the Get Screened America Promod Challenge Tim Tindle
stands in the provisional #15 position after posting a 6.093, 235.02
mph pass during the second and final round of qualifying at the NHRA
Las Vegas Nationals.
Tindle faced Mike Castellana during the final round of qualiying which
also stood as the first round of the Matco Tools Promod Clash, a
$25,000 to win shootout contested among the top eight drivers in
points.
Tindle, the 2007 ProCare RX Promod Clash $25,000 Winner, had the better
reaction, an impressive .011, but wasn’t enough to hold off Castellana
who posted his weekend best; 5.999, 236.75 mph.
“Conditions were a little tricky for us, but we are fortunate to
qualify for the race,” Tindle said. “It has definitely been a
challenge but we will be ready to race tomorrow. Quain and the team
(Andy, Marcus, and Tony) have been working their butts off to get this
thing ready for tomorrow and I am going to do my job behind the wheel.”
Eliminations are scheduled to begin Sunday morning at 9:15 a.m.
