The pressure is on for Tim Tindle and the Tindle Enterprises Ford Mustang team as they head to Bristol Dragway for the 8th annual O’Reilly Thunder Valley Nationals. Tindle and the team are running out of ways to keep their winless streak alive and still looking for that first round win of the season.
Even though he is a rookie behind the wheel and the season hasn’t gotten off to the kind of start he envisioned, the 2007 Promod Rookie of the Year understands how quickly his luck can change.
“I think we are going to do well. Sometimes you get into cycles where things aren’t going your way but that can all change in one day,” said Tindle. There were times when we couldn’t do anything wrong, too. I know an up cycle is coming soon and we are going to stay positive and keep working hard.”
The rookie from Santa Rosa Beach, FL, is not discouraged but rather encouraged by the team’s consistent improvement and performance on and off the track.
In 2006, the O’Reilly Thunder Valley Nationals was the turning point and the end to a winless streak for the Tindle Enterprises team, with Joey Martin behind the wheel. That was the start of the hot winning streak that put the team in the battle for the 2006 National Championship.
The second year driver from Santa Rosa Beach, FL, enters this weekend’s eighth annual O'Reilly Thunder Valley NHRA Nationals in Bristol, Tenn., ranked sixteenth in the JEGS ProMod Challenge standings.
